Multi segment crash pads absorb shocks from varying impact angles
The Nike Dunk Low Jackie Robinson is a special edition colorway that honors the life and legacy of the civil rights activist and Baseball Hall of Famer. From Nikes July 2022 release cycle, the Jackie Robinson Dunk Low celebrates Jackie Robinson, who broke baseballs color barrier in 1948. The colorway takes inspiration from Jackies time with the Brooklyn Dodgers, beginning with Racer Blue leather overlays on the toe cap, forefoot, eyelets, collar, heel, and Swoosh, all of which are inscribed with inspirational quotes by Jackie. The leather base appears in a cream-grey hue. Together, the two colors are inspired by the Brooklyn Dodgers old team uniform colors. Other overtures to Jackies time on the ballclub include his 42 jersey number on the heel. A commemorative 75th anniversary patch appears on the tongue as a salute to Jackies arrival in Major League Baseball in 48.
